SearchDial
SearchDial adds new and timesaving features to help you connect to the person you want:
- NEW: Ability to search the Notes field
- NEW: Search using T9. Use the dialpad to type where 2=abc, 3=def and so on.
- NEW: View and Edit full contact details directly within SearchDial.
- NEW: Full extended character set support.
- IMPROVED: Search anywhere within the full contact name or company name to find matches.
- SMS or Email a contact in addition to calling.
- Settings for a white background, turning off AutoFavorites, and default mode (Call, SMS, Email)
- Searching by initials, multiple names, special characters, and email addresses
- Search by Phone Number: Start typing a phone number into the search bar to see contacts that match. If a contact cannot be found, you can dial immediately without having to switch screens or applications.
- AutoFavorites: Automatically tracks your most frequently called numbers and presents them upon startup, ordered by number of calls. You can remove items from this list by swiping horizontally on the item or delete the entire list from the Help (?) screen.
Search for and call a number with the fewest "clicks" possible:
- After launching the application you are immediately in a search box with the keyboard active
- Begin typing to search All Contacts by first name, last name, company name, phone number or email address
- Each contact phone number matching the search is displayed on its own row - just select to connect immediately.
Each Name/Number combination is listed separately to avoid having a intermediate screen to choose the right number to call. Additionally, common types of numbers such as Mobile, Home and Work can have their own configurable colors for a visual way to quickly locate the proper number.
This application is also great for former Treo and Blackberry users who are used to turning on their phone, typing their contact's name, and hitting a button to call.
NOTE: SearchDial keeps a local store of your contacts to enable faster startup times and more flexible searching. You only need to refresh the local store if you make changes to your contact list.

SearchDial
SMS or Email a contact in addition to calling. How does that works form this program? Does anybody know?
Great application. I have tried others - this is the best.
Colour coding the number types are a good idea - however the text is still too small for me to see using the iPhone as a hands free device in my car - the dock in the car is a little too far from me to see really clearly - it would be a winner if you could create an option which turned the app into "big font mode for use in the car". There are a few WM6 apps that do this but I haven't seen anything in the Itunes store like this yet.
